Last year, NDI New Mexico came to Socorro County and taught elementary students in a program that culminated with a hybrid online/in-person show. This year, for its 25th time in Socorro, NDI is back with the full in-person program that our community knows and loves. During three weeks of intense dance instruction, NDI-NM teaches excellence, discipline, team work, self-esteem, theatre, dance and music, physical fitness, healthy eating, and more than anything, to always Do Your Best! The program finishes with fun-filled, energetic gala performances that showcase the students' talent and hard work.

About NDI New Mexico

NDI New Mexico’s kinesthetic teaching methodology was developed by former NYC Ballet dancer and MacArthur Fellowship recipient, Jacques d’Amboise, who founded NDI in New York City in 1976. In 1994, Catherine Oppenheimer, formerly of NYC Ballet and Twyla Tharp Dance Company, co-founded NDI New Mexico in Santa Fe. Since that time, NDI New Mexico has grown from serving 100 children in one school to reaching 7,500 children annually in 87 schools. We serve communities through award-winning In-School and Afterschool programs, Summer programs, and Advanced classes.
