Two-Time National Champions – Esports

NMT’s Esports team is a back-to-back national champion in League of Legends, winning the NECC National Championships in 2023 and 2024.
Founded in 2019, the program now fields competitive teams across five games: Rocket League, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant, and Marvel Rivals.
Students gain opportunities to compete nationally, connect with fellow gamers, and earn recognition in the rapidly growing field of collegiate esports.

Competitive players are eligible for scholarship assistance and have travel covered for competitions. To qualify, students must pass a competitive tryout each semester, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, attend at least 85% of practices and competitions, and complete 10 hours of community service per semester.

Artifact Esports

The program also supports a casual division, boasting a Discord server with more than 400 members and 23 game channels. Casual players do not have to complete tryouts, and the server is open to all students. Participants have access to the Esports Lab during open hours and may reserve time for play or practice.
