The two-time national championship-winning club, New Mexico Tech Rugby, was established in 1973. The head coach is Jason Oliphant. The men's side finished the Fall '24 season ranked #9 in the nation, with a 11-1 record and placed 8th at the 2025 Collegiate Rugby Championship. The 2025 women's side is 15-strong and recently went 3-0 at the La Concha Sevens Tournament.
