I'm originally from Iowa, and did my undergraduate studies there; I received a B.S. in Physics in 2014 from Iowa State University. After a year off of studies doing research, I came to New Mexico Tech in the Fall of 2015 as a PhD student in Physics, with a dissertation in Astrophysics. After finishing another project on modelling evolution of Asymptotic Giant Branch stars that I started at the end of my undergraduate career, I am now working on my dissertation research. I am now studying and working on simulating accretion processes into spinning, magnetized black holes and how these accretion processes create and influence astrophysical jets.
