NMT Faculty
Evaluate Poster & Oral Presentations
Evaluators play a vital role in the Student Research Symposium. By providing thoughtful feedback and engaging with students in person, they help participants refine their ideas, strengthen their communication skills, and gain confidence in presenting their research.
Evaluators are volunteers made up of NMT faculty, staff, graduate students, alumni, and community members. The only requirement is that you have (or are working toward) a Bachelor's degree in any area of study.
We need evaluators for the following events:
Oral Presentations: Tue, April 21, 5pm-8pm
Poster Session 1: Wed, April 22, 10am-12pm
Poster Session 2: Thu, April 23, 10am-12pm
Poster Session 3: Fri, April 24, 10am-12pm
Poster Session 4: Fri, April 24, 1pm-3pm
You may be an evaluator for any or all events. When you register online to participate as an Evaluator, you'll be asked to select which events you'd like to participate in.
Want to know what kind of forms you'll be expected to fill out as an evaluator? Here are the forms that we use (you will be filling out those electronically):
ORAL PRESENTATION EVALUATION FORM
POSTER PRESENTATION EVALUATION FORM
NOTE: Since the feedback results will be emailed to the presenters after the SRS ends, we kindly ask that you include all your comments on the form instead of orally.
Extra Credit
We encourage faculty members to offer extra credit to their students if they attend one or more SRS events. This also boosts attendance, so it's a win-win for everyone. If interested, please email us at srs@nmt.edu. SRS staff can make sure a sign-in sheet is available for your students and after the event, we can email the sign-in sheet to you.
