Under the leadership of the Vice President for Research, Sponsored Projects Development (SPD) is NMT’s central partner for seeking and securing external funding.
Sponsored Projects partners with NMT faculty and Research Units to strengthen proposal competitiveness and grow external research funding to help investigators focus on discovery, mentoring, and impact.
Main Goals
Finding Funding & Building Proposals
Funding searches, sponsor targeting, solution-oriented proposal development, and support
for large or complex submissions.
Workshops & Specialty Research Groups
Faculty workshops, proposal readiness support, and services tailored to teams and
research groups.
Proposal Planning, Preparation, and Submission
From application materials and budget support to required approvals, final review,
and submission to public and private sponsors.
Award Acceptance and Negotiation
From award review and acceptance to negotiations, terms and conditions, and handoff
for post-award setup and management
