Undergraduate Certificates and Micro-credentials

The Department of Business and Technology Management currently offers two 12-credit hours certificate programs: Certificate in Accounting and Financial Management and Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship, open to students (college; and high school via dual credit), NMT staff, and community members.

Jake Tolk (BS Management, 2007)
Jake Tolk (BS Management, 07) of Morgan Stanley presented to NMT alumni on financial investment strategies.

Both programs offer training certificates approved by the NMHED and are eligible for the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship, assuming the student meets enrollment criteria and GPA standards. The Certificate in Accounting and Financial Management is designed more for employees working in government, non-profit, and other public sectors who need entry-level accounting and financial training. The Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship is designed more for STEM students who are determined to pursue their own business ventures and for small business owners in local communities.
