Undocumented and DACA Students at NMT (Spanish)
NMT welcomes the application and enrollment of undocumented students, as well as students who recieve benefits under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. NMT is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We strive to create a culture where students from all backgrounds feel welcome.

Applying as A DACA/Undocumented student
First year applicants and transfer applicants should visit their respective sections of the new student website for details about requirements, deadlines and more.
When completing the any application for admission:
- Do not answer citizenship status question if you are not comfortable. Someone in admissions will contact you to verify your status. You do not have to
share this information in the application.
Financial Assistance
DACA and undocumented students are eligable for New Mexico Tech merit scholarships. All New Mexico residents qualify for the New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship regardless of citizenship status. The financial aid scholarships page also includes scholarships other scholarships that do not require U.S. citizenship.
Applicants with extenuating circumstances may be eligible for a waiver of the $ application fee. You can apply for a fee waiver by contacting the Admissions Office at admission@nmt.edu.
Confidentiality Policy
New Mexico Tech will not share your personal information, including citizenship status with any outside organizations. The only offices involved with personal information are admissions, registration and financial aid. Professors, other staff and students will not have access to this information.

The Santa Fe Dreamers Project offers in state resources for undocumented students.
National organizations, Immigrants Rising and United We Dream offer information on financial assistance, healthcare and legal resources for undocumented and DACA students.
