Master’s in Engineering Management Receives Top Honor

National education magazine calls Tech program “Best for Synchronous Classes”

SOCORRO, N.M. – New Mexico Tech’s graduate program in engineering management, recently highlighted by a national online higher education magazine, will host an information session Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. MST on Zoom. Intelligent.com recently ranked Tech’s engineering management graduate program as the "Best for Synchronous Classes” in 2022 across the country.

According to Intelligent.com, out of the top 56 Master’s in Engineering Management programs, Tech ranked 22nd overall. 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Tech's  Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program. The program offered its first class in fall 2002.

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) is a challenging 30-hour master’s degree program specifically designed for those professionals who have completed their undergraduate degrees, are working engineers, applied scientists, or technologists, and who have an interest in furthering their careers in engineering management and leadership. Classes are taught by full-time professors and industry experts.

The MEM program is offered live via distance education from the main New Mexico Tech campus in Socorro and delivered synchronously through a virtual classroom to a student’s desktop, laptop, or other mobile device. Courses are scheduled in the evenings for 2.5 hours, Monday through Thursday. A typical class meets once a week. Replays of class lectures are also available via streaming for those students wishing to review course content or those on travel and unavailable for scheduled class meetings.
