Dr. Ryu on "Aerospace America"
March 2019
Dr. Ryu's new invention on his mechano-luminescent-optoelectronic composites (MLO) has been featured on "Aerospace America." He is currently in the process of patenting the MLO composite material, which will be used for aerospace technologies.

A mechano-luminescent-optoelectronic, MLO, composite combines a mechano-luminescent material, which gloes under strain, with a mechano-optoelectronic material, which generates current when exposed to light. NASA and university researchers are on the brink of having a new approach to structural health monitoring due to the newly developed patent on the invention by Dr. Ryu. Read the article here.
