Opportunities for External Funding

Though we make every effort to keep Field Camp expenses reasonable, we recognize that attending Field Camp can be a significant financial burden for many students. There are a few external funding opportunities for undergraduates attending Field Camp, and we encourage you to apply for them. We update this webpage as we learn about additional funding opportunities.

To further offset costs, we maintain a limited number of tents and other pricy bits of Field Camp gear available as needed. 

For NMT students: if you have completed Structural Geology with Prof. Prush, feel free to request a recommendation letter for these funding opportunities. 

 

National Association of Geoscience Teachers Scholarships for Field Study 

Up to $750 available per student. Application information availablehere.

Geological Society of America's J. David Lowell Field Camp Scholarships
