Annual Graduate Student Association Thanksgiving Dinner November 13
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Dinner event on November 13. All graduate students and their families are invited. The dinner will be hosted at Bodega Burger & Co in the Ballroom at 6:00 pm.
Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to a local charity. Every two food items that an attendee brings will earn them one raffle ticket towards a handful of prizes.

Biannual Graduate Community Barbecue and Potluck
The Center for Graduate Studies and the Graduate Student Association would like to invite all graduate students, faculty, staff, and their families to the biannual Graduate Community Barbecue and Potluck. The Barbecue is held every spring and fall semesters
Meat and vegetarian barbecue is be provided, along with some side dishes. If you bring a dessert that feeds 12, you will earn one GSA point. For new students, GSA points can be used towards travel grants and other future events.

Graduate Education Day
Graduate Education Day presents graduate students with the opportunity to present their work at the New Mexico State Capital building. This year's Graduate Education Day will be February 9 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Student posters will be up in the East and West halls of the History building. There will be a Press Conference from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

For the first annual Graduate Education Day with the Legislature, eight New Mexico Tech students presented their research to legislators and visitors in the Roundhouse on January 30, 2015.
Shown here, two of the students, Stewart Youngblood from Mechanical Engineering and Olivia Chavez from Biology, discussed their research with our local Representative, House Speaker Don Tripp.
