NMT Website Redesign Project

General Information

New Mexico Tech has partnered with OHO Interactive to undertake a web design redesign project. This webpage serves as a platform to communicate the project’s milestones to the University-wide campus. 

General Questions

WHO?

The NMT Marketing and Communications department is leading the website structure and content redesign process. The University has contracted OHO Interactive. OHO Interactive has 25 years of experience in delivering award-winning digital websites.

WHAT?

The redesign of the nmt.edu website, aims to enhance its content, design, accessibility, mobile performance, and visual impact to better serve prospective students, current students, faculty, staff and NMT community in general. 

WHEN?

The website redesign project began in August 2025 and it's tentatively scheduled to be completed in December 2026.

WHY?

NMT wants to make the digital experience at its institution better for everyone. Our goal is all about making sure website visitors can easily find what they need and a great user experience.

Project planning, gathering information for NMT website redesign. Stakeholder Survey, Stakeholder Meetings, Strategic roadmap.
Structure of a new nmt.edu site: New Sitemap. Wireframes annotated with user interface specification.
Create templates using NMT brand,
and mobile responsiveness.
Build the website using Drupal according to website best practices. Review of roles and permissions. Content writing, Content migration.
Testing site to provide optimal user experience, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. Content Entry Training.
Launch.

QA: Quality Assurance.
UAT: User Acceptance Testing
