New Mexico Tech welcomes all incoming students to the Kelly Mine Experience, August
9-14, 2026. This essential jumpstart program is provided at no additional cost and
is a required first step in your NMT college journey. Students move into their dorms,
engage in campus life, connect with other students, and start building a sense of
belonging at NMT. Through hands-on transformative experiences, students have the opportunity to develop personal and
interpersonal skills, leadership, and practical academic strategies. The Kelly Mine
Experience creates a space for students to grow in confidence, build a support system,
and link to campus resources to initiate success at New Mexico Tech.
