"On Monday (June 30), President Mahyar Amouzegar submitted a letter of resignation to the NMT Board of Regents, providing nine months’ notice per the terms of his employment agreement. The Board of Regents and the President are in agreement on moving forward with a smooth transition, to be conducted professionally and constructively. All parties will continue to work vigorously on behalf of the institution. This matter will be added in due time to the Board of Regents’ agenda. In the meantime, this is an ongoing personnel matter, and there are no other comments.”
