Community invited to Monster Mash at New Mexico Tech
October 20, 2023

It’s getting spooky at New Mexico Tech, just in time for Halloween! On Saturday, Oct. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Housing and Residential Life department will host Tech’s third annual Halloween Monster Mash, and the Socorro community is invited to attend.
The event will be held on NM Tech’s athletic field and Campus Drive, just off Leroy Place.
In addition to Trunk-or-Treat with various community and Tech partners, there will be a pumpkin patch full of fun for all ages. Enjoy activities such as pumpkin painting and carving, coloring for kids, broomstick and mummy races, and pumpkin bowling. How about the spooky can toss or maybe the witch's hat toss? Play “Guess What’s Inside the Box!”
In addition to lots of candy, there will be a costume contest at 6 p.m. at the Tech Gym, with four categories: birth to 10, 10-17, 18+, and group/family (which includes pets). Sign up by 5 p.m. at the event. There will be surprise prizes for the winners.
For guests 21 and older, there will be a beer garden provided by Macey Center, and everyone can enjoy music from DJ George Murillo.
