SOCORRO, N.M. – The City of Socorro is conducting a broadband feasibility study which is required to apply for grant funding to bring broadband into Socorro. A broadband survey is part of the feasibility study. The results of this survey are expected to result in the Socorro area getting higher speed internet service in the near future.

Socorro residents – students and employees – who access their internet from home are encouraged to fill out this survey. This survey and feasibility study is foroff campus residents only. People who use NMT internet should not participate in this study. The internet speeds on-campus are so much higher than in town that it will dilute the effect of the in-town survey.
