SOCORRO, N.M. – More than 130 high school students from around the  state spend Monday on campus in Socorro for the annual Research@Tech recruitment event.

Students were treated to an explosives demonstration first thing in the morning.

Students and their parents heard a testimonial from Tech graduate and current Ph.D. student Danielle Turner about her experiences at NMT.

Prospects and their parents were treated to campus tours and presentations about Financial Aid. During registration at Macey Center, the high schoolers got a chance to talk to current NMT students who had their Student Research Symposium posters on display. Visiting students were also treated to breakfast and lunch while on campus.
