New Mexico Tech’s VP of Research Michael Doyle is featured in the October 2023 issue of BioTechniques (biotechniques.com). Released Oct. 12, Doyle’s article delves into the innovative collaboration between biology and information technology.
The article is “Spatial biology: a collaboration between the biological sciences and information technologies.” In it, Doyle discusses the Visible Embryo Project that he created, and how that model has led to the advances in spatial genomics and computations needed to manage the large datasets.
As a leading expert in the field and as VP of Research at Tech, Doyle is working to establish a national center for spatial science at NM Tech, with a projected opening in the first half of 2025.
