Richard Sonnenfeld will spend the spring 2020 semester in Perth conducting lightning research

Reporter Vanessa Zhou wrote a report about the research projects, one of which will be conducted by Dr. Richard Sonnenfeld of New Mexico Tech . Sonnenfeld (pictured at right) is a Fulbright Scholar and will be on sabbatical in Perth during the 2020 spring semester.

Curtin University is hosting two experts who will conduct research aimed at helping keep mine sites safe from lightning strikes.
