The Ruidoso News published an article and profile of Capitan High School graduate Maggie Rich, who is a freshman in the Chemical Engineering Department. The article appeared online April 16, 2018.

Rich (pictured at right) maintained a 4.0 grade point average, earned an ACT Score of 30 and was ranked first out of her high school class. She is completing her first year at New Mexico Tech. She won the scholarship in 2017, but was officially recognized at a banquet in Albuquerque earlier this month.
