In a news release by the U.S. Geological Survey, director of the New Mexico of Geology and State Geologist Mike Timmons said that collaborating on the innovative USGS Earth Mapping Resources Initiative will be a leap ahead. “These Earth MRI surveys represent a next-generation approach, bringing modern geophysics to bear that will allow us to fundamentally reevaluate our state’s inventory of resources."
