Dear Techies,
Every year, one of the greatest privileges of my job is welcoming Techies back to New Mexico Tech. There is something special about watching classmates reconnect, hearing stories from generations of alumni, and seeing campus come alive with the people who have shaped its history. That is what makes 49ers one of New Mexico Tech's most cherished traditions.
This year, I am excited to invite you to 49ers: Night at the Museum: A Curated Celebration of Discovery & Tradition, October 15 through 18, 2026.
Museums preserve the people, discoveries, and moments that define who we are. This year's theme reminds us that New Mexico Tech's story is written by the remarkable accomplishments of its alumni, faculty, past administrators, and history. Together, we'll celebrate the discoveries, innovations, friendships, traditions, and milestones that have made our university, and the Techies who call it home, truly NOTABLE.
Whether you're returning for your first 49ers or your fiftieth, the weekend offers something for everyone. Reconnect with classmates and faculty, revisit favorite places on campus, celebrate our Distinguished Alumni, enjoy reunion gatherings, and experience the innovation and spirit that continue to define New Mexico Tech.
Our team is hard at work curating an unforgettable weekend, and I look forward to welcoming you back to campus this October.
