2024 EES Awards

Congratulations to our 2024 EES Department Award winners!
These awards are given to graduate and undergraduate students for outstanding scholarship and research in the Earth and Environmental Sciences. Jonathan Anaya (PhD Geology) has been awarded a 2023 AGU Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) for their presentation on "Provenance Analysis and Timing of Deformation in the Mongolian Altay: Implications for Intracontinental Deformation"

Magdalen Grismer (PhD Geochemistry) has been awarded a 2023 AGU Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) for their presentation on "Conditions of two-feldspar saturation in a high-silica rhyolite: a comparison between phase equilibrium experiments and a rhyolite-MELTS phase diagram of a Valles Caldera obsidian"
