NMT graduate and former Board of Regents member Omar Soliman will present the Computer Science and Engineering Department speaker series. His talk is titled “CSE Experience in Federal Service.” 11 a.m. 9/8/2017, in Cramer 221.

Abstract

As a student and graduate of NMT, I had the opportunity to attend several federal cyber internships at the Departments of Defense, Energy, and Justice. After graduating from Tech, I was offered a position as a Computer Scientist for the Department of Justice, where I served for 3 years. During my time in Federal service, I was exposed to a wide range of projects and experiences. I hope to educate those interested in getting into Federal service, or looking to maximize their experience while in a government position.
