Middle School Expo

Join the Petroleum and Natural Gas Department as we dive into the fascinating world of Petroleum Engineering. Our demonstration will provide students with an interactive and hands-on experience, showcasing the fundamental principles of how oil and gas are extracted from the earth. With the help of our dedicated SPE students, participants will engage in simple experiments that mimic real-world drilling and production processes. Our aim is to spark curiosity and offer a snapshot into the exciting challenges and innovations in the field of Petroleum Engineering.

When you visit the Biology Department, you will learn about the anatomy of your most useful appendage, the hand!  As one of your most complex and fascinating body parts, your hand is made up of 27 different bones as well as a variety of tendons and ligaments. With the help of our Biology students, you will be guided through a gripping, hands-on activity that demonstrates how your hand can grasp, hold, and release objects. At the end, you will have a handy model that can help around the house, or you can use at Halloween to scare people!
