Juan de Dios Pineda was bestowed “Doctor Honoris Causa” from Tianjin Foreign Studies University, China, for his contributions in the area of Public Policy. Also, The University of Santander conferred the title of “Doctor Honoris Causa.” He has a Post-doctoral Scholar Advanced Training Program in Student Affairs Administration in Latin American Higher Education Institutions. Dr. Pineda has been the Chair of several Post-Doctoral Programs in Government, Public Policy, and Higher Education. He has been a member of several Editorial Boards such as State and Local Government Review and The Journal of Public Affairs Education, both based in the United States. He is the author or principal editor of several books in public policy, government, and education. His book in Spanish about Teacher’s Professionalization in Mexico was translated into Chinese in 2014. In 2016 Dr. Pineda was a co-author of the book “The Education in China, Mexico, and the United States,” also translated from Spanish into Chinese. Juan de Dios Pineda is a distinguished professor at Tianjin Foreign Studies University; visiting professor at the University of Puebla (Mexico); and lecturer of Policy Sciences at New Mexico Tech, where also he is the Head of the Research Office’s Latin American Initiatives. He is the President of the Americas Conference of Universities in STEM Education. In 2019, the University of Santander inaugurated the “Chair Juan de Dios Pineda in Policy Sciences and Public Policy.”
