The Faculty Senate will meet to consider the official graduation list and decide on student awards -- the Brown Award, the two Cramer Awards, the Founders Award and the Langmuir Award. 10 a.m. in Workman 101.

NRAO Colloquium (Fri. 9 May, 2014 11:00 am - 12:00 pm)

Valerie Connaughton of NASA is the guest speaker for the NRAO colloquium. She will present, "Terrestial Gamma Ray Flashes, Lightning and Radio Signals." 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the Domenici Science Operations Center (NRAO) in Socorro.

Civil and Environmental Engineering Thesis Defense (Fri. 9 May, 2014 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm)

Jeremiah Bihl, a master's student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, will defend his master's thesis, titled "Surface Chemical Controls on Hydrocarbon Adhesion to Clays." Noon in Jones Annex 108.
