Gato Groucho y Amigos

A Quilt by Betty Blakslee Reynolds

18 x 18"

Gato Groucho Quilt

Machine pieced and hand quilted with sulky sliver thread using little cat prints as the center of each of the 16 blocks, embellished with beads and feather and fish charms. This quilt was entered in the New Mexico Quilters Association "cat challenge" at the New Mexico State Fair in September 1997 and won honorable mention. The quilt takes it name from the cat in the top row, second from the right who looks like Groucho Marx.
