Mechanical Engineering Thesis Defense (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm)

Master's student Paul Giannuzzi will present his thesis, which is titled "Modeling of Propane Deflagration in a Vented System at Uniform Pressure." 2 p.m. in Weir 132. 


Physics Dissertation Defense (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm)

Graduate student Jed Rembold will defend his dissertation in the Physics Department. His talk is titled “Characterization and Analysis of Near Earth Meteoroids via Lunar Impact Observations.” 2 p.m. in Workman 101.

Do-it-yourself Bike Repair (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

The New Mexico Tech Bicycle Club hosts a bike repair afternoon every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Macey Center loading dock.. The club has tools for you to do your own repairs. Club members are on hand to offer advice.

Shakespeare's 450th Birthday (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

Celebrate the Bard's 450th birthday with two performances:

4 p.m. -- Richard III performed at the fountain outside Fidel (near Workman)

7 p.m. -- As You Like It performed in the Macey Rehearsal Hall 

These are staged readings and are designed to delight the new or experienced Shakespeare lover. Join Us!

Annual Spring ASME BBQ (Meet a MechE) (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

All students are invited to the the annual spring barbecue hosted by the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers! Come meet the Mechanical Engineering department professors and your fellow students at Dr. Bill Marcy's house, 1003 Bullock Blvd., (2nd House west of Leroy, with the mini airplanes.) 5 p.m. 

Philosophy of Math and Science Seminar (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

A weekly seminar and discussion group surrounding the philosophy of science and mathematics. Everyone is welcome to join in the Math Conference Room in Weir Hall.

Wednesday Hump/Pump Theme Day (Wed. 23 Apr, 2014 7:00 pm)

Working out doesn’t always have to be so serious. Every Wednesday in April, have some fun during your gym time and dress up to the suggested “Hump Day/Pump Day” theme. This Wednesday, April 23 is 80's Day. Dust off those leg warmers and the full body pink spandex outfit. Have some fun with this one.
