President's Golf Tournament (Thu. 18 Sep, 2014 8:00 am - 3:00 pm)

The 20th annual President's Golf Tournament features a VIP flight on Thursday. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with play beginning at 10 a.m. Proceeds from the tournament help deserving Tech students complete their degrees. Every player receives a goodie bag, with drawings for more excellent door prizes. Winners also receive awards. Meals are also included. Earth Science Seminar (Thu. 18 Sep, 2014 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

Jason Ricketts of the U.S. Geologic Survey is the guest speaker for the Earth Science Seminar. He will present "Structural evolution of the Rio Grande rift: Synchronous exhumation of rift flanks from 20-10 Ma, embryonic core complexes, and fluid-enhanced Quaternary extension" Sponsored by the Earth and Environmental Science Department and the Bureau of Geology.  4 p.m. in MSEC 101. 

Physics Seminar (Thu. 18 Sep, 2014 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

Dr. Peter Hofner, of the Tech Physics Department, will present the weekly seminar. He will discuss, "X-Ray Astronomy." Hofner will give an overview of X-ray astronomy, including historical aspects, early missions and a brief description of present missions, concentrating on the Chandra X-ray Observatory. 4 p.m. in Workman 101. 

LGBT Support Group (Thu. 18 Sep, 2014 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm)
