Senior Scientist and Climate Focus Lead Los Alamos National Laboratory

Dr. Manvendra K. Dubey, Senior Scientist and Climate Focus Lead at Los Alamos National Laboratory is the guest speaker for a special Physics, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering seminar. The talk is titled "Climate Treaty Verification and Methane Economy: Lessons from Four Corners." Dubey’s research has created a confluence of field observations, laboratory measurements and models to improve predictions of climate change impacts and air quality. He has performed focused greenhouse gas and aerosol measurements from in situ, remote, and satellite sensors to verify emissions and enable an effective climate policy.He received his Ph.D. at Harvard where he measured free radical kinetics and was part of the team that established the causal link between CFCs and the Antarctic ozone hole. 2 p.m. in Workman 101.
