It is important to maintain contact with family members immediately following a disaster. Here is a Red Cross website that allows you to be able to contact family members.  Part of the emergency preparedness culture we aim to cultivate is one of self-reliance: use text messaging, Facebook, Twitter, email, phone calls, or whatever tool is at your disposal to notify others of your status and whereabouts.  The Red Cross offers disaster preparedness material in Spanish and English.  Additional languages are also available through the Red Cross.
