Dr. Fred Phillps Elected Fellow of AGU, Jan. 21, 2008
"For He's a Jolly Good Fellow!"
SOCORRO, N.M., Jan. 21, 2008 -- New Mexico Tech congratulated Dr. Fred Phillips, professor of hydrology, on his recent election as a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU). The AGU is very selective in awarding this honor; each year only one in a thousand of the members may be elected to Fellowship.
This follows hard upon the heels of Dr. Phillips' election last year as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
The AGU Fellowship will be formally awarded to Phillips on May 29, at a Joint Assembly of the AGU in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
