SOCORRO, N.M., Aug. 18, 2008 – The New Mexico Tech marketing department is sponsoring another YouTube.com video contest for Tech students.
Tech students are encouraged to submit short videos depicting their views of the university. Students are encouraged to videotape classes, athletics, parties, scenery or anything else. Students can make videos that are funny or they can keep it serious.
Videos containing nudity, profanity or life-threatening stunts will NOT be eligible to enter the contest. Three minutes in length or less. A camcorder is available to be checked out from the Public Information Office in Fidel Center.
Videos should be submitted to marketing director Colleen Guengerich in the Public Information office by October 10.
Videos approved by the PIO office will be officially entered in the contest and posted on YouTube.com with Tech’s blessings. The student whose video receives the most hits on YouTube by December 5 will win $500! Second and third place will receive prizes, too! Prizes awarded on December 8.
There is no limit to the number of people on a video team.
