Spring Fling 2012 Promises Plenty of Fun

SOCORRO, N.M. April 16, 2012 – The Student Association has a full slate of fun activities for the 2012 Spring Fling.

Ashley Geerts, vice president of the Student Association, said Spring Fling includes more events, some new events and more give-aways for students.

The Mud Bog event always brings out a crowd.

She said she expects the hypnotist on Thursday to be well-attended and entertaining for students. As opposed to the Comedy Night that had been staged in the past, the Student Association planned a hypnotist because student feedback indicated that they were ready for a change.

“This will be different and exciting,” she said. “He’ll be hypnotizing students, so they’ll be involved.”

At Saturday’s barbecue, the Student Association will be giving away more than just the usual T-shirts. Students can pick up backpacks, sun glasses and Tech cups as well.

Also, instead of students making their own T-shirts, the Student Association is bringing in a T-shirt maker to take students’ designs and make the shirts.
