Career Fair

New Mexico Tech Career Fair

February 12 , 2009, Fidel Center

9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This event is held twice a year – usually in late September and mid February. Career Fair serves as a kick-off for the semester’s recruiting.

Students
This is your opportunity to visit informally with representatives of various employers and ask questions about:

• What positions they hire for
• Whether they have internship or cooperative education programs
• Courses they would advise you to take if you wanted to work for them

Some companies will have interviews or information sessions the evening or day after Career Fair.

To sign up for information sessions and to schedule interviews, students must have access to Interfase, although, often, companies sign up interviews at Career Fair.

Watch for posters around campus and notices in Paydirt and Scope. Plan to take advantage of this opportunity!

Employers
When making your travel arrangements, you might want to consider coming early or staying late - some of our employers plan to visit with faculty, others have expressed an interest in the New Mexico Tech golf course, and there's always the Very Large Array (as filmed for the movie "Contact," with Jodie Foster) out on the San Augustin Plains. (For more information about Socorro and environs, visit the Socorro Chamber of Commerce web site.)
