General Education Core Curriculum Transfer Information

General Education Core Curriculum

The General Education Core Curriculum is a set of classes that all Bachelor of Science students at NMT are required to take before graduation. Many of these degree requirements can be transferred from other colleges.

New Mexico Tech GECC requirements

Some of the most common GECC equivalancies are linked here:


   • Central New Mexico Community College
    Dona Ana Community College
   • Eastern New Mexico University (including branch campuses)
   • Luna Community College
   • New Mexico Highlands University 
   • New Mexico Junior College
   • New Mexico State University (including branch campuses)
   • Northern New Mexico College
   • San Juan College
    Santa Fe Community College
   • University of New Mexico
 (including branch campuses)
   • Western New Mexico University

For universities not included in the list above, please email registrar@admin.nmt.edu or stop by the Registrar's Office in the Fidel Center to determine whether a course will meet GECC requirements.
