What is the SRS?

Who and How and What:

Undergraduate and graduate students -- collaboratively or individually -- voluntarily submit:

An Extended Abstract and an Oral Presentation
                      OR
An Extended Abstract and a Poster Presentation (limited to 40 posters)

Of research or design projects.

Your extended abstract and presentation must be written for the multi-disciplinary technical audience of the Tech community and guests.

Your extended abstract, poster or oral presentation, will need the follow NMT's Student Research Symposium criteria, which can be found at the following links:

And Why:

The Student Research Symposium is an opportunity for you to:

-Showcase your knowledge and skills by giving a presentation or
displaying a poster to student and professional researchers and engineers

-Communicate your research or design to people outside your field

And When:

Thursday, April 16th, 2015!

We hope to see you there. While presentations are by Tech students (with possible students from affiliated groups who are invited to participate), attendance is open to anyone. Feel free to invite family and friends to attend!

Other Information:

-Now is the time to talk with your Faculty Research Advisor about the projects on which you would like to present and submit a extended abstract.

-The Writing Center and the Oral Presentation Center can help you prepare for the Student  Research Symposium. Click the links to find their regular hours, and stay posted for possible workshops to come!

-Ask your ENGL 341: Technical Writing instructor if you can write and present a extended abstract for class that could also be submitted to and presented at the SRS.
