AdminNet now uses Postini Anti-SPAM technology to reduce the amount of SPAM delivered to your inbox.
The Postini Service denies the delivery of messages that are Absolutely SPAM and inhibits the delivery of Probable SPAM. The main difference is that you will neither see nor have to delete the Absolutely SPAM messages. Another difference is the Probable SPAM will not be delivered into your inbox unless the you allow the message through.
When your account is activated, you will receive an email that will invite you to login and change the password for your new Postini account. The message will be fromNew Mexico Tech Supportand it will contain a link to theNew Mexico Tech Message Center. Your login address is your email address and your temporary password is in the email message.
The first time you login you are required to change your password.

To login in the future, you can use the https://login.postini.com/exec/login website or bookmark the one from the email. This will be your main interface to your new Anti-SPAM service.
Your Daily Report
Each day at about 3 pm, an email will be sent to your inbox that will list the messages that the Postini Anti-SPAM service caught, but it isn't absolutely sure were SPAM. You may choose to ignore, deliver, or view the messages listed as Probable SPAM.
Here is an example message:
Tosend a message to your inbox,click on the Deliver link. To view individual messages click on the email’ssubject.
Caught SPAM will stay for up to 14 days (and will be deleted thereafter) and deleted messages will be saved for about 2 days in the trash before automatic deletion.
Managing Your Account
Using your Postini Anti-SPAM Portal you can fully manage your Anti-SPAM account. The main use of this page is to deliver or delete Probable SPAM that has been caught by the SPAM filter. You may also approve each sender if their message was incorrectly classified as SPAM.
Another use for this portal is to manage your settings that control how SPAM is caught by this service. This includes how strict or lax your settings are for different types of SPAM, your personal safe-sender list, and your personal block list.
You can manage your Portal Account by logging in to the Postini Service at anytime (from anywhere) via the following login page:
Your login address and password are the same whether you are on or off campus.
TCC emails (including forwards from your TCC accounts), are not currently being processed by this service. We are working on this problem and we will send out an email once this issue is resolved.
Currently, all mailing lists (e.g.. email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com) are maintained by ISD. Eventually, we would like to provide for individual departments to manage the SPAM filter for their own mailing lists.We are still working out some details, but we will contact the administrator of each of the mailing lists once we are ready to delegate out this service.
