Come and enjoy hot chocolcate to kick off Alpha Sigma Kappa Spring recruitment week! 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fidel Center.

Chemistry Club Meeting (Mon. 28 Jan, 2013 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm)

Please bring ideas for what you want us to do this semester. We will also figure out a schedule for Club Fair on Friday.

Kappa Sigma Bonfire & S'Mores (Mon. 28 Jan, 2013 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

Kappa Sigma will be kicking off their Rush Week with a bonfire and s'mores in front of the Fidel Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Open to everyone!

Presidential Chamber Music Series (Mon. 28 Jan, 2013 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm)

The Performing Arts Series presents the third Presidential Chamber Music Series of the season. This performance is String Quartets. Enjoy renowned chamber music hosted by violist Willy Sucre. Free admission. 7:30 p.m. at Macey Center.

NRAO Colloquium (Fri. 1 Feb, 2013 11:00 am - 12:00 pm)

The NRAO Colloquium will feature Dr. Roger Blandford, professor of physics and the director of Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at Stanford University. Dr. Blandford will present “Extreme Particle Acceleration,” discussing observations of supernova remnants, pulsar wind nebulae, blazars and ultra high energy cosmic rays. 11 a.m. at the auditorium at the Domenici Science Operations Center (NRAO) in Socorro.

3D Valentine Stained Glass Workshopfa (Sat. 2 Feb, 2013 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

The Community Education program is offering a four-hour workshop with a master glass craftsman. Create a three-dimensional stained glass heart in time for Valentine's Day. Tuition is $20 and materials fee is $5. Sign up at the Registrar or on Banweb. 8 a.m. to noon at the Fine Arts Center.

First Saturday Star Party (Sat. 2 Feb, 2013 6:00 pm)

The Astronomy Club will have a star party after the VLA tours. The event is free and open to the public, so come out and join us at the Etscorn Observatory. The club hosts star parties on the first Saturday of each month starting at dusk.
