NRAO Colloquium (Fri. 1 Feb, 2013 11:00 am - 12:00 pm)

The NRAO Colloquium will feature Dr. Roger Blandford, professor of physics and the director of Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at Stanford University. Dr. Blandford will present “Extreme Particle Acceleration,” discussing observations of supernova remnants, pulsar wind nebulae, blazars and ultra high energy cosmic rays. 11 a.m. at the auditorium at the Domenici Science Operations Center (NRAO) in Socorro.

Dr. Greg Hamerly, Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director at Baylor University, presents "Competitive Learning at Baylor University." 11 a.m. in Cramer 221.

Dr. Indranath Dutta, professor and associate dean of research at Washington State University-School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering will present "Reliability Challenges in 3-D integration in Microelectronics: Using Materials Science to Predict Complications and Provide Solutions." 11:45 a.m. in Cramer 124

Chemistry seminar (Fri. 1 Feb, 2013 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)

Prof. Ohyun Kwon of the Chemistry Department at UCLA will present a seminar titled ""Phosphine Catalysis – Old and New." Noon at Cramer 101.
