Student Activities Board meeting

The Student Activities Board will meet every other week on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in Weir 102. In these meetings we will plan monthly events, Spring Fling, 49ers, Welcome Week, and other events. Students are welcome to join the meetings.

Earth and Environmental Science Seminar x 2

Dr. Dave Weinberg will present two seminars with the Earth and Environmental Science Department. Weinberg is founder of Practical Risk LLC, based in Albuquerque, and is a Visiting Geoscientist with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. At 2 p.m., he will present "Geoscience and the Hydrofracking Debate." At 4 p.m., he will present "Bent and Broken: Confessions of a Structural Geologist." Both talks are in MSEC 101.

The New Mexico Tech Board of Regents will meet in regular session at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, in Socorro at a location to be determined. A complete agenda will be available at the Office of the President, Brown Hall 217, or by email at pio@nmt.edu. An executive session is scheduled to discuss personnel and legal matters.
