 olloquium. Dr. Fukui will speak about “The Giant Molecular Clouds in the M
 agellanic Clouds.” The Large and Small Magellanic Clouds are the nearest g
 alaxies to our own. Surveys of these galaxies using the NANTEN 4m telescop
 e in Chile have revealed more than 300 resolved giant molecular clouds and
  allowed scientists to make a first statistical study on their evolution a
