DESCRIPTION:<p>John Bally of the University of Colorado at Boulder is the g
 uest speaker for the NRAO Colloquium. Bally will present “Stellar Feedback
  and the Ecology of the Galactic ISM.” He will discuss how large-scale sur
 veys of the Milky Way complemented by high-resolution studies of small fie
 lds are revolutionizing the understanding of the Galactic Interstellar Med
 ium (ISM) and star formation. He will describe the feedback ladder <span s
 tyle='font-family: Tahoma\;'>–</span> a chain of increasingly powerful mec
 hanisms that may be responsible for the Galactic ecology. All NRAO employe
