"No-Yes" by Katie Koestner, a story about Sexual Assault. Sunday, Aug. 18 @ 3pm in the Macey Center. Katie Koesnter has been a leader in the movement to end sexual violence since she took her own solo stand as the first survivor of date rape to speak out nationally at age 18. After appearing on the cover of Time Magazine on June 3, 1991, Katie worked with HBO to make a film about her story. Subsequently, she has appeared on nearly 50 national television programs, spoken at more than 1500 campuses and led over 400 Take Back The Night marches and rallies. Her emotionally-charged presentation creates an environment of understanding and helps lay the groundwork for behavioral transformation. Her program provides students with just the right blend of facts, statistics, realism, and thought-provoking challenges around relationships, respect, alcohol, and decision-making. This event is free to all students and sponsored by Tech's Student Government Association, Residential LIfe, The Women's Resource Center, The Dean of Students, Student Affairs and Student Activities.
