Multicultural Programs hosts and assists several events and activities on campus that support student success and ethnic diversity. These events include guest speakers, History Month celebrations, and scholarship and internship informational sessions.
Resource Center
The Multicultural Programs’ resource center, located in the Student Affairs Office (Fidel 262), provides students not only with a space for meetings and study sessions, but also with information concerning scholarships and internships.

Research Funding
Multicultural Programs offers an undergraduate research assistantship through the National Science Foundation. This program, the Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP), is open to ethnic minority students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
The goal of this assistantship is to provide support to students who are involved with undergraduate research, and encourage students to obtain Masters and PhD degrees in their chosen fields.

CareerServices
There are many resources available to students in order to help them reach their career goals. Resume-writing workshops, mock interviews, and cover letter critiques are all available through Student Affairs’ Career Services. Career-oriented conferences are also offered through the following student and professional organizations:
AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society)
NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers)
SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers).
