Alumni registration will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Atrium of Fidel Center. Alumni can sign in for the weekend's events.

Student Poster Contest, 7 to 9 p.m. Fidel Center 1st floor. Alumni vote on student research posters. Posters on display from noon Thursday to 4 p.m. Friday. Winners will be announced at the 49ers Parade and posted on the Tech website.

49ers Opening Reception -- 7 to 9 p.m. on the second floor of the Fidel Center. Appetizers and a cash bar.

NMT Alumni Association gathering. Alumni and current NM Tech students will play a musical tribute to the reunion classes of 1964 and 1989 by channeling memorable songs from those years. 7 to 9 p.m. at the Twisted Chile

Friday, October 17

PAINT THE 'M'. Students, employees, alumni and community members are invited to participate in the Paint the 'M' event, a.k.a. the 'M' Mountain Run. Registration deadline is noon Thursday, Oct. 16. Email paintm@nmt.edu to register. The run begins at 9 a.m. Meet in the parking lot between the NMT Golf course and Facilities Management. Participants will be treated to lunch at the top of the mountain. The first 20 students to reach the top with a bag of lime get cash prizes.
