Global Village Day, International Potluck
SOCORRO, N.M. April 8, 2014 – The annual Global Village Day will feature international students, fine dining and dance and music performances on Thursday, April 10.
The day’s events start with displays from several of the countries represented by the New Mexico Tech student body from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Fidel Atrium. Global Village Day celebrates the international diversity of the Tech student population. International students will set up displays showcasing their home countries, including
The Tea Club will serve teas from around the world throughout the event. Also, the dining hall will feature international cuisine for lunch.
The following performances will be in the atrium:
11 a.m. Taikoza Japanese Drumming and flutes
11:30 a.m. Scottish highland bagpipes
12:30 p.m. Aditi Natesa belly dancers and drummers
