Instructors Will Decide Whether To Use Jones Hall and Jones Annex
SOCORRO, N.M. 9:15 a.m. February 7, 2011 -- The academic department chairs and Tech administrators decided this morning to not close Jones Hall and Jones Annex completely. Some classrooms and laboratories are fit for classes and will be used.
Instructors will decide whether to use the facilities in Jones Hall and Jones Annex, or to use alternate class spaces. Instructors will communicate directly with students regarding class locations. If students have not received communication from their instructor, they should attend class in the temporary, alternate location. Click here for the complete list of alternate locations.
Administrators and instructors will continually assess the situation throughout the week.

SOCORRO, N.M. 4:15 p.m. February 6, 2011 – Broken pipes in Jones Hall and Jones Annex have created a situation that can only be called a disaster.
Jones Hall and Jones Annex will be closed , due to water leaks and water damage in labs and classrooms. Contractors are on duty now at both buildings to begin the clean-up process.
Classes scheduled for those buildings will be moved to new locations. The Registrar's Office has issued a revised schedule for classes normally scheduled for Jones Hall and Jones Annex. Click here to see where your classes will be held.
All other campus buildings will be open Monday. All employees should report to work Monday, including those who work in Jones Hall and Jones Annex.
The situation will continually be re-assessed throughout the week and updates will be posted regularly on the Tech website.
